Vintage 1990s Betty Jackson Tan Goatskin Suede Jacket

With the fluidity of a silk blouse and the soft texture of suede, this Betty Jackson jacket is wonderfully easy to wear. The supple tan goatskin falls naturally around the body, while notched lapels and neat panel seams give it a relaxed, understated tailored shape.

I particularly love the four slightly slouchy patch pockets, each finished with a pale button embossed with Betty Jackson’s name. Largely unlined, with a small lining panel across the upper back, the jacket has a lightness that makes it ideal for layering.

Betty Jackson remains one of my favourite names to seek out in the vintage fashion space, and I think her work deserves far more appreciation. This piece captures exactly why. It’s thoughtful, elegant and designed to become part of everyday life. I’d wear it over a white T-shirt and dark jeans, or with a fine knit and loose trousers. The sort of jacket you reach for so often that it starts to feel entirely your own.
