This is vintage dress by cult 70s London fashion designer, Gordon L Clarke, is a true collector’s item.
Clarke was a designer, and famous in the late seventies for his lightweight, pleated pieces. Before creating his namesake collection, Clarke worked at Hardy Amies and Valentino, and subsequently sold his collections at his popular boutique, Luke, on the Kings Road in Chelsea.
The dress is unlined and slips on over the head. It has a pleated with an embroidered yolk neckline and softly flowing bell shaped sleeves.
The dress was shot on a UK10 mannequin and would fit a UK8-10 body frame.
